I decided to switch stitching projects this weekend.  I put away Paisley Pumpkin and started this one. It is called Welcome Autumn by Olde Colonial Designs.  Pam Reed was our surprise designer at Seaside Stitching last month.  I had never seen any of her patterns before.  I don't usually go in for primitive designs, but I liked this one, and thought it would look good on my sad lonely seasonal

This is my newest project, Paisley Pumpkin, by Mill Hill.  I started stitching it on November 7, 2011.  Here is what it looked like after a few days of stitching. One of the hints I got from a teacher at our retreat last weekend was to keep multiple needles threaded, so when you finish with one you can quickly move on to the next.  What a smart idea!  And also to outline more, so you don't have to keep counting every line.  No wonder she has stitched more than 200 projects so far this year! Here is one of my favorite patterns from last year, finally framed.  I don't trust anyone on Maui to do stitch framing, so I had to take this one back to the mainland and get it done at my mom's local needleshop.   This is a great frame- I love the rich red color of the wood and the gold paint detail.   Now to decide where to hang it! This past week I did not get a lot of stitching done.  It was week two of a 2 week trip for my Hubby, so it was just me and the kids at the house.  The first week he was gone, both the kids got sick.  Then we had Tsunami Saturday, which was fortunately not a big thing.  Our house is outside of the mandatory evacuation zone.  This past week was long and tiring.  We were all tired by the end of it.

Well, here we are at the end of another week.  I did get some stitching done on my last two goals for the year.   Here is goal #11- the birthday surprise.  He finally has a smile!
